I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Mackenzie Delta, that Bill 3, An Act to Amend the Cities, Towns and Villages Act, be read for the second time. Madam Speaker, this bill enhances the powers of a municipal corporation to acquire, use and dispose of real and personal property. It also requires the municipal corporation to pass a land administration by-law before disposing of real property and makes the enactment of the by-law subject to the approval of the Minister. In addition, the bill clarifies the powers of a municipal corporation to carry on business. Thank you.
