    Nov. 16, 1994 Passed Thank you, Mr. Speaker and colleagues. I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Sahtu, that Bill 10, An Act to Amend the Liquor Act, be read for the second time. Mr. Speaker, this bill provides that by-law officers serving in municipalities that have approved liquor prohibition may be appointed by the Minister as special by-law officers with the authority to search for and seize liquor in vehicles. The bill also provides peace officers and special by-law officers with the authority to stop vehicles for the purposes of searching them. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
