Mr. Speaker, I know that since Mr. Patterson has assumed this portfolio, he has had access to a wealth of studies and written materials on the theory and administration of workers' compensation boards. Has the Minister come across any studies carried out in this or other jurisdictions which support the chairman's claim that workers who receive lump sum disability payments are worse off five years later? Is there any evidence to this effect?
