Madam Speaker, the Minister of Municipal Affairs made a statement today about the Nunavut municipal lands referendum, in which she states that Nunavut communities have long sought control of the allocation of the land in their communities. I would like to ask the Minister, Madam Speaker, since MACA now handles the allocation of land and registering of titles within the department, how would they exercise this responsibility for allocating land in their communities?
