Mr. Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Nunakput, that Bill 14, Miscellaneous Statutes Amending Act, 1994, be read for the second time.

This bill corrects certain anomalies, inconsistencies, archaisms and errors in the statutes of the Northwest Territories. The bill also deals with other matters of a non-controversial and uncomplicated nature in the statutes and repeals certain provisions of the statutes that have expired or lapsed or otherwise ceased to have effect.
