Thank you, Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, economic development dictates any community in the country. When there are job opportunities, there is less likelihood for social problems to occur. Thereby, spending in the area of health, education, social welfare, et cetera, is reduced traumatically. Madam Speaker, our responsibility as legislators, in this particular jurisdiction, is to ensure this government spends money in our jurisdiction, not outside our jurisdiction and community businesses are utilized as much as resources will allow. Community businesses and local development corporations are supported by our government. Gjoa Haven and Taloyoak are in the process of developing community-oriented and community-operated businesses. I want to urge all the departments and MLAs to support community growth in all aspects. This is done through NWT job creation and by utilizing the local businesses. I would urge all Members, this coming year, to support the people in the NWT. Thank you.
