Some time ago, prior to 1987, there was a question posed to the government from the Member for High Arctic, with regard to photo flashes that happened between 1955 and 1958 in the north Baffin area during the darkest time. I'm not too sure who to address my question to, maybe to the Premier. I remember when I was a kid playing outside, the night became brighter than daylight. During the darkest time, the sun is away for a period of time. That experience was experienced by lots of hunters. It was really scary. Later on we learned that the US government was doing some studies. From the airplanes they would drop something. Just following that they would

photograph it with classes of photos, how it was descending. To this day, the Member for High Arctic and I have never found out what they were experimenting with. I would like to know if the government could attempt to find out, on behalf of the people of north Baffin, what that material was that was being photographed? Thank you.
