The information provided to the Arctic Winter Games International Committee by Team Canada included the following. These are the reasons we think these athletes are residents of the Northwest Territories: The parents are residents of Iqaluit; the father was a business person in that community; the father held an NWT driver's licence and health care card; the children, who are minors, were in full legal custody of the parents; the children held NWT health care cards. Those are the reasons that they are residents of the Northwest Territories. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
