I would expect in a situation where a raven has caused the power outage or where frost build up has caused the power outage, it would be difficult to say that it was an act of negligence on the part of the Power Corporation. Therefore, the Power Corporation could not be expected to be liable in that situation. The homeowner should check first with their insurance company to see if they are covered, but I do not believe the Power Corporation carries any insurance to compensate people for natural acts such as the ones we have experienced here.
