The funding for casuals for summer students is actually not budgeted specifically because they are usually hired in the program areas with filling vacations for full-time employees who are on vacation throughout the department. There is funding that is planned for summer students in the compensation services salary budget, but we do not actually identify the casual positions.

I am not sure if that answers your question, but yes, there always is a plan within the Department of Justice to hire summer students. We are just going through the process now of determining the needs and the numbers for this upcoming summer for the university students returning in April.
