Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Yes, we would take the responsibility of trying to house the homeless people. We have been doing that. It works well in some communities. It does not work so well in others. We have been working with NGOs across the Northwest Territories to ensure that they are given adequate housing and that some of their basic needs are met.

Unfortunately, we cannot respond in the context of income support, but in terms of housing, we can and we have been doing that in consultation with the Members of this House, as well as the communities who are adversely affected by the increasing number of homeless people. Thank you.
