Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The number of youth that are in our system would go into probably three broad areas: the number of youth that are incarcerated in the facilities right now; there would also be the number of youth that are presently on probation; and then the number of youth who are diverted to the communities.
In regards to the first two, I can advise to that we have 17 youth that are in custody as of today. In terms of probation, right now we have 157 youth that are on probation. I don't have the up-to-date statistics on the number of youth that are currently before justice committees, but we do get that information on a monthly basis as the diversions are completed and it's something that I could provide, but not at this moment.
