Mr. Chairman, I move, that this committee recommends that the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs immediately cease all work on the main street paving program planned for fiscal year 2003-2004; And further, that the GNWT revisit the program's eligibility criteria to ensure that it is based on health considerations rather than on where the Department of Transportation's crushing and other equipment is situated; And furthermore, that dust level monitoring equipment be located in all non-tax-based communities to ensure that the relevant baseline health information can be collected to help determine where limited program dollars can most effectively be targeted.
