Mr. Speaker, I would like to present today a petition dealing with the matter of rental rates and affordable housing in the NWT. Mr. Speaker, the petition contains 405 signatures of Yellowknife residents and, Mr. Speaker, the petitions request that the Government of the Northwest Territories create effective ways for tenants and landlords to resolve disputes regarding excess rent increases, and that the government work with developers to enable construction of affordable rental housing units in the NWT.
