One of the most disappointing actions during our four-year term is the money we've spent building new correctional facilities instead of funding new ways to prevent violence and treat offenders. Mr. Speaker, the health of our society depends on our commitment to listen and act on what our people are telling us. Are we listening? Is the government listening?
