Thank you, Madam Chairperson. I just wanted to let you know that it has been a pleasure to deal with MACA over the past number of months on various objectives and to deal with it in GED as well. Some of the priorities that I know that we should be heading into are in terms of recreational facilities. I know that, at one point, it used to be a priority of our government that recreation facilities be an important part of all the...I don't know...at least a base line in all the communities. I am kind of in favour of making a move with MACA to make an initiative, to make it part of their goals and objectives and to be part of their mission
statement. Just with that respect, I think it is important because one of the biggest issues that I have been faced with or challenged with is to build or implement or create a recreational facility in the small community of Nahanni Butte. It has been a challenge. There is a small area that was supposed to be designated as a gymnasium, but it is very small, Madam Chair. It is a square room. It has sinks in there so it is not really a play area. I don't know what the thinking was at that time. But if the thinking is that each community should have at least this baseline facility, then it will certainly be in all the plans or be in place today. I was just wondering if the Minister could comment on that. Do we have to get government, by way of mission statements or by way of objectives, to make recreation facilities a priority in all of our communities? Thank you, Madam Chair.
