Absolutely, Mr. Speaker. As I said yesterday in answer to questions, the interest of the child are paramount. They have to be. I think generally a child's interests are best served by having access to both parents. That is not always possible. It is not always advisable. We have situations where, clearly, parents are unfit and courts make that determination, Mr. Speaker. But, yes, I agree that we have many difficult issues that we are grappling with. They are all part of this answer to this question. We keep them all mindful, Mr. Speaker. If there should be an opportunity to have some involvement or some input into the development of federal legislation, if the federal government is coming forward, I will make the commitment that I will seek input from all stakeholders
from across the Northwest Territories who have an interest in seeing us at balanced legislation that serves the interest of Canadians. Thank you.
