Thank you, Mr. Speaker. It is the government's practice or ENR's practice to involve community members. We also work with the regional
bodies. I have been in the community of Colville Lake and heard their concerns personally. They have raised the issue directly to me in my travels to that community that the caribou numbers were down, that they were having a very difficult time finding caribou, that they were pointing to the possibility that the resource development activity was a factor. If that's changed, I would certainly like to see that information come forward. If there are new numbers out there, I would appreciate the opportunity to look at these numbers. We make every effort to involve the community. It's a really important part of the aboriginal culture to deal with wildlife. We recognize that. If that is not the case in this situation in Colville, we would certainly like to meet with the Member and see what steps can be taken to rectify that. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
