Thank you, Mr. Speaker. We had a discussion last week during question period about some of the different ways

we would try to get the federal government to engage in looking at the Mackenzie Valley Highway as a project. In the meantime, we have been working with the federal government to identify different areas that we can improve.

By the end of the life of this government, we should have 39 bridges built in the whole Mackenzie Valley area. We also have been doing a lot of work on various grade improvements. There has been significant investment over the last number of years in this area. It is still an area that we intend to continue to invest in and work towards extending the life of the winter road and improving that piece of infrastructure. We will continue to invest in that area.
