Thank you, Mr. Chair. As we know, the building has been assessed a number of times on behalf of the former entity that had care and custody of the building, the Northern Frontier Visitors' Centre. They had commissioned some work, some studies to do that. We have taken that work. We have reviewed that work, those engineering reports. We have also commissioned another engineering report to see if there is some remedial work we can do in the short term. That work is nearing completion on the study work. We are planning to go ahead this spring, do some remedial work to stabilize the building and prevent further deterioration.
That will give us time to come up with options for the long-term future of that building to see if we can find another government use for it or determine whether it can be put to another use through the normal asset disposal process. There are a number of challenges associated with that particular building given its location because it is part of the capital site, so there are additional approval processes that have to be gone through before you put that to another use. Right now, we are focused on stabilizing the building, coming up with good cost assessment, what it would take to put it back in service, and as well, finding a suitable use for it within government or through the process. Thank you, Mr. Chair.
