As the Minister mentioned, the Northern Bonus is $2,000 a year, up to a lifetime limit of $10,000, for a student who either returns to the North or moves to the North from a southern jurisdiction that could be applied to their student loans. For the case of northern students who are receiving SFA, it helps accelerate their remission or repayment of SFA loans. For southern students, it helps go toward paying off their recognized student loans. Thank you, Madam Chair.
