Mr. Speaker, I wish to table the Process Convention on the introduction and enactment of Bills drafted pursuant to the Intergovernmental Council Legislative Development Protocol.

Mr. Speaker, I'll be making a Member's statement on this document tomorrow but for now, I would like to draw attention to the importance of what it means.

We talk a lot about reconciliation and working closely with our Indigenous government partners in this place. As a former chief of the Salt River First Nation for 14 years, I am proud that this document gives substance to the importance of our relationships with Indigenous governments and the shared responsibility we all have as Northerners to enact land and resource legislation that reflects the rights and aspirations of all Northwest Territories governments.
