Thank you, Madam Speaker. Madam Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Tu Nedhe, that Bill 9, An Act to Amend the Motor Vehicles Act, be read for the second time. Madam Speaker, this bill amends the Motor Vehicles Act to put the terms "license plates" and "validation stickers" in the singular in order to allow the use of a single license plate and validation sticker. The amendments also establish which vehicles must have a license plate on the front and which much have a license plate on the back. It also clarifies the regulation making power concerning fees by prescribing the establishment of a formula or method of calculating fees instead of prescribing fees.
