Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I have second reading of a bill for my colleague, Mr. Dent, who is out of the House. Mr. Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Nahendeh, that Bill 6, An Act to Amend the Education Act, S.N.W.T., 1995, c. 28, be read for the second time. Mr. Speaker, this bill amends the Education Act, S.N.W.T., 1995, c. 28, to correct minor errors and inconsistencies in the act. The bill also makes several amendments to respond to comments received as a result of consultation on the regulations. The bill makes numerous amendments to deal with issues raised with the drafting up of regulations, which brought to light inconsistencies or problems within sections of the act.
