Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Nahendeh, that Bill 17, Business Corporations Act, be read for the second time. Mr. Speaker, this bill enacts the Business Corporations Act. The Companies Act and the Companies Winding Up Act will continue in force until March 31, 1999, to afford existing companies an orderly transition to the new regime. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
