Mr. Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Yellowknife South, that Bill 15, An Act to Amend the Fire Prevention Act, be read for the second time. Mr. Speaker, this bill amends the Fire Prevention Act to enable the fire marshal to apply to the Supreme Court for an order authorizing him or her to take corrective action in respect of a structure or premises if he or she is unable to identify an owner or occupant. The bill also makes other minor amendments. Thank you, Mr. Speaker.

Mr. Speaker, I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Yellowknife South, that Bill 15, An Act to Amend the Fire Prevention Act, be read for the second time.
Mr. Speaker, this bill amends the Fire Prevention Act to enable the fire marshal to apply to the Supreme Court for an order authorizing him or her to take corrective action in respect of a structure or premises if he or she is unable to identify an owner or occupant.
