I have a question for the Minister responsible for the Workers' Compensation Board. The report of the Standing Committee on Agencies, Boards and Commissions dealing with worker's compensation, recommends that greater attention should be paid to ensuring all workers are better represented on the board. The Minister may be aware of the 1989 N.W.T. Labour Force Survey completed by the G.N.W.T. Statistics Bureau. This study reported that of the 20,328 people who were employed at the time of the survey, 8,815 or 43 per cent were women.
Mr. Speaker, recognizing that just under half of all workers in the N.W.T. are women, will the Minister indicate to the House how many women he has appointed to the Workers' Compensation Board since assuming his portfolio over a year ago?
