Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Actually, the request for the position was established in 1989-90. In the 1991-92 cutbacks, that position, in fact, was vacant and was given up. However, the inspections for the Keewatin were performed from Yellowknife, as indicated by the Minister, on a time-available basis. Since that time, with
decentralization, community transfer, population growth and the construction activity, we see a requirement for that. No different than a requirement in the field that we should be filling quickly, the Inuvik position, as well. But there has been very significant construction activity in the communities.
