Yes, Mr. Chairman, considerable discussions took place with the different groups in that area. Unfortunately, a satisfactory agreement couldn't be arranged. We went to public tender and within the public tender -- and I hope I'm correct -- we developed a specific local component in terms of local economic benefit being derived from this airport project. We were disappointed that an arrangement couldn't be made, so we had no choice but to go to public tender. Thank you.

Mr. Chairman, I have been talking about this for about 11 years now, and I'll raise it again whenever the opportunity arises. There are still a lot of problems with the access road to the Hay River Reserve and I just want to bring it to the attention of the Minister. The road is narrow and I have made that point already. When it snows, it causes people to go into the ditch, because they are not aware of the shoulders and things like that. That's just a general comment, Mr. Chairman. I just wanted to bring up that point at every opportunity I get.

Mr. Chairman, as you aware, last week we were in Hay River to discuss possibilities of forest management in that area. There didn't seem to be enough there to be done to encourage the Minister to even think about it. But, it does say here that $25,000 will be allotted to provide a new vehicle to address increased forest activities in the region. So, I'm wondering where the Minister is coming from when he takes the position of not supporting the community, yet there seems to be more activity rather than less.
