Mr. Speaker, under section 77 of the Education Act, subparagraph two reads, a district education authority may, in accordance with the directions of the Minister, provide for instruction and discussion in spiritual values or beliefs in a manner that is respectful of the spiritual values or beliefs of all the students. It is clear that the intent of the new Education Act that no student would be forced to learn a religion contrary to his or her own beliefs. However, can the Minister clarify who would be defined as all the students? Does this mean all the students in that particular class? Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
