Thank you, Mr. Chairman. Mr. Chairman, I believe, going back to when our new child welfare legislation came into effect and while it was being developed, the issue of a child advocate was taken into consideration. It was determined at the time that we felt that we did not require one. Some of the provisions in the new act allowed for greater community involvement. There are strong advocacy groups generally in our communities. It was felt that with the services that were already being provided that we thought they could fill the needs in that area.
