Thank you, Mr. Chairman. One of the considerations to deal with the Yellowknife headquarters function is, with division the department or the corporation is trying to deal with a number of employees who are being carried over because of the no layoff policy and positions that do come open, we are trying to accommodate those people who would otherwise have been laid off.
There are areas that need to be worked on. The actual affirmative action numbers for the corporation are quite good overall. For example, as of December 31, 1998, 42.5 percent of all corporation staff held affirmative action status. It is including 50 percent of the middle and senior management group. We are doing fairly well in that area. As I stated earlier, one of the concerns with the Government of Nunavut being created was that we had a number of employees in headquarters that dealt with specific programming for Nunavut and we are working to involve them in vacancies that do come up at the present time.
