Mr. Speaker, I realize that it may cause some inconvenience where patients are referred and certain procedures and supplies may not be covered and patients are asked to pay for these. I can look into this. I know from personal experience that some of the costs, such as the one that Mr. Bell refers to, are often covered through people's private insurance plans through their employers as well, so it might be difficult to pay in advance in every instance because I believe there is an obligation for patients to first try to recover these costs through insurance plans they may have in place through other means.
