Mahsi cho, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I would like to refer to item 11 in tab 18, Great Slave Forest Products Limited, forgiveness of debt, $1.199 million. That is a significant amount of dollars, Mr. Chairman. Great Slave Forest Products Limited was originally located in Fort Resolution. My constituents there were quite reliant on that sawmill for employment, and just the general good will and good feeling in the community by having such an industry in the community. Since the closure of that sawmill, the employment rate has dropped significantly and it has never been the same since then.
I would like to ask the Minister who was responsible for the administration of that sawmill at the time of closure that led up to such a huge debt that we are forgiving here today. Thank you, Mr. Chairman.
