Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, what I see happening here is the government seems to have a policy that if you live in small communities, you will be penalized. You are better off to remove yourself from those communities and go to the regional centres where they have more adequate housing. That is basically the way they are dealing with the problem.
I would like to ask the Minister, what are you doing to ensure that the people who do want to live and stay in the small communities have the knowledge that there is going to be adequate housing? You will not have a problem with over-housing. What is the government doing to ensure we protect the uniqueness of the small communities, so that people who go back to their homes know there will be houses available, that you do not have to leave your communities to find housing elsewhere?
