Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I move, seconded by the honourable Member for Monfwi, that Bill 9, Northern Employee Benefits Services Pension Plan Protection Act, be read for the second time.

Mr. Speaker, this bill provides protection from creditors for the pension entitlements of Northwest Territories members of the Northern Employee Benefits Services Pension Plan and restricts the ability of members to pledge as security their pension entitlements under the plan.
