Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, a serious matter has occurred which I must address in this House. Mr. Speaker, the Canadian Aviation Regulations Advisory Council last month published a list of 28 airports required to provide airport fire departments. Mr. Speaker, the largest and busiest, as well as the new capital of Nunavut and the only international airport in Nunavut, Iqaluit, was not on that list. Mr. Speaker, several of my constituents have called and have written to me on this serious oversight by the advisory council. My question is for the Minister of Transportation. Is the Minister aware of any plans to close down the Iqaluit Airport fire department, and will he commit to look into this serious matter and report back to the House? Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
