Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, this is in regard to termination benefits for employees. My written questions are:

1. Is there one central specialist charged with implementing the layoff guidelines to ensure all employees are treated fairly. If not, would you consider hiring one, just to make sure the fairly complicated guidelines are implemented consistently across the board?

2. How many layoffs related grievances have been filed against the government since 1995?

3. What is the status of those claims?

4. With those grievances that have been settled, how many were settled in favour of the employee?

5. How many of these came as a result of guidelines being misapplied or misinterpreted?

6. Has this resulted in the government re-evaluating how these layoff guidelines are applied?

Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
