Thank you for that commitment. Can the Minister confirm that he will publicly provide that information. Thank you.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Sorry, can you repeat your question.

Rylund Johnson

I got a commitment there to find out who's -- well, some undisclosed amount of money into someone's building that we don't own. But I'm wondering if we can get the commitment that we will publicly tell us what owns this building for the undisclosed amount of money. Thank you, Madam Chair.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you, Member. Minister.

R.J. Simpson

Thank you, Madam Chair. I have no problem disclosing who the building owner is. Thank you.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you. Are there any further questions, comments under this section?

All right, so please return now to the departmental summary found on -- I just about missed the budget line. All right, so Justice, corrections, infrastructure investment, $1,480,000. Does committee agree?

Some Hon. Members

Agreed.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you, Members. Please return now to the departmental summary found on page 60, Justice, 2022-2023 Capital Estimates, $1,480,000. Mr. O'Reilly.

Kevin O'Reilly

Thanks, Madam Chair. Did we skip court services and services to the public? Okay, 2023-2024. Got it.

Madam Chair, I move that this committee defer further consideration of the estimates for the Department of Justice at this time. Thank you, Madam Chair.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

The motion is on the floor and being distributed. The motion is in order. To the motion.

Some Hon. Members

Question.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Question has been called. All those in favour? All those opposed? Abstentions? Thank you. The motion is carried.

Thank you, committee, and thank you to the Minister. Sergeant-at-arms, please escort the Minister from the Chamber. Or, the witnesses. Remove the Minister. Take them all out. I don't have that authority, no.

Does the committee agree to proceed to the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs?

Some Hon. Members

Agreed.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Committee, we will now consider the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs. Does the Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs wish to bring witnesses into the Chamber?

Thank you. Sergeant-at-arms, please escort the witnesses into the Chamber. Minister, would you please introduce your witness.

On my left is deputy minister Gareau.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Welcome. The committee has agreed to forego general comments. Is the committee agreed to proceed to the detail in the tabled document?

Some Hon. Members

Agreed.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Committee, the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs beginning on page 68. We will defer the departmental totals and review the estimates by activity, beginning at page 69, with the regional operations with information items on page 70.

Municipal and Community Affairs, regional operations, infrastructure investments, $29,160,000. Any questions, comments? Member for Yellowknife North.

Thank you, Madam Chair. I see there's $29 million here, and it's going to 33 communities. We list all the communities on page 70 but we don't say how much they're getting. Is the Minister willing to provide public breakdown about how much each of these communities is getting? Thank you.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you. Minister.

Shane Thompson

Shane Thompson Nahendeh

Yes.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you, Minister. Member for Yellowknife North.

That makes me very happy. Wow, I don't even -- I had a whole line of other questions.

Okay, I guess my next question is this is money provided for capital under the funding formula. I see it's $29 million here. If we were following -- if we had the money to commit what's in the formula, how much money would actually be here, aka, what's the deficit shortage? Thank you, Madam Chair.

The Chair

The Chair Lesa Semmler

Thank you, Member. Minister.

Shane Thompson

So my understanding the gap's about $20 million.
